The Idyllic Collection was created to showcase our favourite properties based on a specific set of criteria. Our aim is to build a directory of boutique properties, intimate retreats and hotels with personality.

We know from personal experience that searching the web for our ideal holiday can be a long drawn out process so we decided to put the properties we like in one place and share them with you.

The style of property we prefer are those that have lots of character and not the monolithic resorts that you can find in certain parts of the world. There is nothing wrong with these hotels, it's just not our preference so not all hotels are eligible to join our idyllic collection.

We do not earn any commission from the properties included in this website so when you click on the hotel links you are assured that the price you are quoted is the price that you would pay booking directly with each owner. We even encourage you to check the property website prior to booking as well as your favourite review websites, just to make sure you are happy before parting with any money. We also understand that standards of service do change and if you have a problem with any of the properties included in our site, we encourage you to let us know.
